Itinerary
Begin your journey in Serowe’s Khama Rhino Sanctuary, one of Botswana’s most important conservation areas.
From here, travel north into the Okavango, spending two nights in the wildlife‑rich Xini Lagoon area before moving deeper into the Delta for a boat tour in Xakanaxa.
Continue through Khwai, Savuti and finally the Chobe Riverfront — a complete Big 5 circuit through Botswana’s most iconic ecosystems.
Day 1 – Arrival in Botswana & Transfer to Khama Rhino Sanctuary
Arrive in Maun and travel east toward Serowe, home of the Khama Rhino Sanctuary. Settle into your private mobile camp and enjoy your first Botswana sunset among open pans and acacia woodland.
Day 2 – Rhino Tracking at Khama Rhino Sanctuary (Serowe)
Spend the day exploring this community‑run conservation area, one of Botswana’s most important refuges for both black and white rhino. Game drives take you across open grasslands and pans where giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and predators also roam. Return to camp for a relaxed evening under the Serowe night sky.
Day 3 – Khama to Xini Lagoon (Moremi Game Reserve)
Depart Serowe and travel north toward the Okavango. Enter Moremi Game Reserve and continue to the Xini Lagoon area, known for elephants, lions, leopards and beautiful floodplain scenery. Arrive in camp for two nights and enjoy an afternoon game drive along the Xini floodplains.
Day 4 – Exploring Xini Lagoon
A full day of game drives around Xini. The mix of woodland, open plains and shallow channels makes this one of the most rewarding wildlife areas in the reserve. Return to camp for a hot shower and dinner beneath the jackalberry trees.
Day 5 – Xini to Xakanaxa (Boat Tour)
Travel deeper into Moremi toward Xakanaxa, the heart of the Okavango’s permanent waterways. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat tour through papyrus channels and open lagoons — a highlight of the Delta, with hippos, crocodiles, waterbirds and stunning scenery.
Day 6 – Xakanaxa Game Viewing
Spend the day exploring Xakanaxa on game drives. This area is known for resident lion prides, leopards, red lechwe, elephants and the classic Delta mosaic of water and woodland.
Day 7 – Xakanaxa to Khwai
Travel north to the Khwai Community Area. The Khwai River draws wildlife year‑round, especially elephants and predators. Arrive in camp and enjoy an afternoon drive along the river.
Day 8 – Khwai Floodplains & Mokoro
Explore the Khwai floodplains on morning and afternoon drives. When water levels allow, enjoy a mokoro excursion through quiet channels and lily‑filled lagoons.
Day 9 – Khwai to Savuti (Chobe National Park)
Leave Khwai and travel into the legendary Savuti region. The landscape opens into vast plains and rocky outcrops. Arrive in camp for two nights and enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Day 10 – Full Day in Savuti
Spend the day exploring Savuti’s dramatic terrain. This area is famous for its lions, large elephant bulls, hyenas and intense predator interactions. Return to camp for dinner under the stars.
Day 11 – Savuti to Chobe Riverfront
Continue north to the Chobe Riverfront. Enjoy an afternoon boat cruise, watching elephants, buffalo and hippos from the water as the sun sets.
Day 12 – Final Game Drive & Departure
Enjoy a last early‑morning game drive along the riverfront before your safari ends in Kasane. Connect to onward travel or extend to Victoria Falls.
